PAYMENT INSTRUMENT OFFERED: BY an Irrevocable, Transferable, Confirmed, and Divisible At Sight (100 % invoice value) letter of credit (L/C), FOR 100% CNF( Incoterms 2000 ) FO cargo value in USD------------------- for ------------ tons in favor of SELLER through the any first class prime bank whose world rating should be below 150 and country rating should be below 10 as per banking norms .
Third party's documents except for invoice and draft will be permitted. Incase the seller's dispatches 10 % more cargo, the Buyer's bank will ensure that original B/L is not handed over to the Buyer unless, the balance / additional amount is deposited by the Buyer in the Opening bank for release to the Seller's bank
The L/C must incorporate the following:
1.L/c will be valid for 90 days from the date of opening.
2. Shipment date must be minimum 40 days so that the seller can get the vessel at lower and competitive rate.
3. Partial shipment allowed and Transshipment not allowed
4. Charter Party Bill of Lading acceptable
P-BOND: 2% from Seller.
INSPECTION: Quality, Quantity, Weight by SGS or Equivalent at seller's cost at port of loading.
Procedure:
# Buyer receives FCO and returns it after signing acceptance, together with LOI and BCL
# Seller receives FCO, LOI, BCL , prepares and submits Sales Contract to Buyer
# Buyer completes, signs and returns Sales Contract to Seller
# Seller signs Sales Contract and sends the original to Buyer
# Buyer obtains draft of Credit Letter and submits to Sellers Bank
# Sellers Bank verifies content of Letter of Credit and Advises Buyer
# Buyer opens and confirms Letter of Credit to Sellers Bank
# Performance Bond is issued by Seller to Buyer
# Buyer confirms receipt of Performance Bond and activates Letter of Credit
# Loading of Commodity Commences
